- The Universe

The universe is the vast expance of space which we see around us. Throughout the history of human existance, man has been fascinated with the heavens. The questions of what the universe is? and how it came to be has puzzled scientists and philosophers for centuries.

- The Current Model

We can estimate that our visible universe is roughly 14 billion years old and at least 93 billion light years across. We also know that everything in the universe is moving away from each other. This leaves us with the reasoning that if we are moving apart, at some point in the past we were closer together. This single point of creation is known as the big bang.

- The Big Bang

What is known as the "Big Bang" is actually a misconception, it was neither big nor did it make a bang! It was rather an inflation from an infinitely small point. And it would not have made a sound as there would have been no air to carry the sound and no space in which to hear it. But the great Silent Inflation doesn't sound as good now, does it?
